RUD TECDOS drive technology systems
TECDOS integrated systems: generating movement by transferring power
TECDOS drive systems / drive technology / chain drives are, technically speaking, integrated systems that generate movement by transferring power. We have created a range of standard components that can be integrated as modules to create complete TECDOS systems.
The TECDOS range excels where other systems fail, covering a multitude of applications in many different industries and sectors, in fact, anywhere that things need to be swivelled, lifted, moved, telescoped or rotated safely and reliably.
Linear or rotational movements in offshore and onshore projects
The TECDOS OMEGA DRIVE drive, with to its characteristic shape and loop angle of 180 degrees which gave it its name, is especially suitable for continuous linear movements (linear drive) or rotational movements. It is typically used in onshore and offshore projects to move harbour and ships' cranes, to align and adjust ship loaders and unloaders and also to open and close cargo space covers. When rotating, the OMEGA drive is also used to lift and lower platforms, drive ferries and extend telescopic booms and skidding systems.

Drive technology for all kinds of applications
Typical uses for RUD drive technology:
• locks on blast furnaces or
• large industrial gates
• structural elements used in the entertainment industry/stage equipment in concert halls and musical theatres.
• gangways in port facilities
All of these involve elements that are moved reliably and quietly by PI-GAMMA drive systems (drive technology) over a long service life.
Drive technology for horizontal, ascending & vertical systems
The PI-GAMMA complete system drive is ideally suited for horizontal, ascending and vertical tasks, with its fixed 180 degree deflection (PI), or its flexible deflection of between 90 and 180 degrees (GAMMA). The reason for this is the drive technology motor, which is located at the top.
