Description of the problem
• Three separate farms in Leamington Ontario with problems in ash conveyor
• premature chain wear, uneven wear between the two strands, large amount of maintenance and down time
• Links (2-4) are removed each month from the chain and the chain is lasting about 18 months before replacement is required
• Current system is a 14x50mm through hardened chain with shackles
RUD Solution
• RUD suggested case hardened chain-system with SSRF attachments
• 10 teeth multi-part-sprockets and flight bars
Result
• Installation of new RUD system in September of 2011
• Trouble-free operation since retrofit
