Steel construction for hydraulic engineering – optimal weatherproof securing of the dock gates

In tide dependent shypyards, in shipbuilding as well as in ports, dry dock caisson gates are used for opening and closing the flood gates. The outboard gate, the flood gate, and the inboard gate, to the ebb tide, are thus exposed to the tides and a tide-free basin. The opening and closing of the outboard gate and the inboard gate is performed with two TECDOS PI-GAMMA head drives, the matching TECDOS round steel chains and TECDOS components. The TECDOS PI-GAMMA drive technology system pulls the gates horizontally into the conveying chamber and defies all weather conditions.
